Located in the heart of Chapel Hill with floor-to-ceiling views of Franklin Street, Upstairs at Lula's is the perfect setting for your parties and events. Our family-style menu options and farmhouse tables are ideal for hosting anything from business lunches to rehearsal dinners. Whether you’re enjoying a seated dinner for 45 guests in our banquet room or celebrating a special occasion with 110 friends, we will gladly and graciously attend to all your dining and decor needs.

We are pleased to offer several rooms Upstairs at Lula’s: Our banquet room can comfortably seat 45 guests for dinner or up to 55 for a cocktail party. You can also reserve the entire upstairs area, complete with a private bar and bathrooms. This space can accommodate 90 people seated or up to 110 standing.

We encourage you to meet with us to tour the space and discuss your event over a bite to eat. Our staff is happy to work with you in creating custom food and beverage menus to suit your type of event, preferences, and budget.

Booking Information

In order to assure the success of your event please note the following:

  • Please confirm final guest count and menu selections seven days before the event. We will charge based on the actual final guest count or the guaranteed number, whichever is greater.

  • Lula's has established food and beverage minimums that vary based on the date and size of your event.

  • A $200 cancellation fee is applied to events cancelled with less than one week's notice.

  • All parties will be billed on a single check. 7.5% sale tax will be added to the check as well as a service charge of 22%.

  • Decorations are allowed except confetti and adhesives that may damage surfaces.

  • A $1.50 per person cutting fee is applied to cakes brought in by our guests.

  • A $10 per bottle (750 ml) corking fee is applied for wines brought in by our guests.

  • You are allocated a 4-hour time slot for your function. There is a $15 charge per server for each additional hour thereafter.
